North Macedonia- 24 November 2022

North Macedonia has decided to revoke the citizenship it granted to Oleksandr Onyshchenko a Ukranian fugitive who is still under a Ukrainian arrest warrant and on a US sanctions list. The full article can be found here.


Montenegro – 24 November 2022

Montenegro’s Higher Court dropped charges against Budimir Krstovic and his daughter for smuggling 1,206 kilograms of cocaine, claiming there was not enough evidence that Krstovic ordered the drugs shipment. The full article can be found here.


Kosovo – 24 November 2022

Kosovo judiciary announce strikes, demanding that Albin Kurti's government revokes a draft law on salaries in the public sector which they fear could lead to pay cuts. The full article can be found here.


Albania – 23 November 2022

Two environmental organisations have filed a suit at Tirana Administrative Court on Wednesday challenging the contract to build a new airport in the south-western city of Vlora on ecological grounds. The full article can be found here.


Serbia – 23 November 2022

Key evidence in the ‘Jovanjica case’, concerning a massive cannabis farm that allegedly enjoyed the protection of Serbian state security, has been ruled ineligible by the court. The full article can be found here.


Moldova – 23 November 2022

Justice Ministers hails court order transferring ownership of international airport from a shadowy company run by fugitive oligarch to Moldovan state. The full article can be found here.


Croatia – 18 November 2022

The basement of Vukovar Hospital, where lives were saved and lost during the siege of the city by Yugoslav People’s Army troops and Serbian paramilitaries in 1991, is now a Museum of Remembrance. The full article can be found here.


Bosnia and Herzegovina – 18 November 2022

Former soldier Radovan Veljovic was sentenced to seven years in prison for raping a women during a “widespread and systematic” attack by Bosnian Serb forces in the Foca area in 1992. The full article can be found here.
