Public International Law

Members of Chambers have extensive experience advising States, governments, and individuals across the full spectrum of public international law, including:

Members appear in and advise on proceedings before a diverse range of international courts, tribunals, and arbitral bodies, including the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), and numerous UN human rights treaty bodies.

 

Notable cases include: Obligation to Negotiate Access to the Pacific Ocean (Bolivia v Chile) (ICJ), Request for an Advisory Opinion on Obligations of States in respect of Climate Change (ICJ), and Delimitation of the Maritime Boundary between Mauritius and Maldives in the Indian Ocean (Mauritius/Maldives) (ITLOS).
