Bosnia and Hercegovina – 17 June 2022
The appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court confirmed a first-instance verdict sentencing Senad Dzananovic to 11 years in prison and Edin Gadzo to five years for crimes against Serb civilians in the Alipasino Polje neighborhood of Sarajevo. The full article can be found here.

Albania – 21 June 2022
The Special Prosecution Against Organised Crime and Corruption said that two investigations of President Ilir Meta have begun after former MP Halit Valteri issued two criminal complaints accusing him of abuses related to lobbying contracts with US firms. The full article can be found here.

The Forgotten Children of War association and a group of young Bosnian women laid flowers in tribute to children killed during the 1992-95 war in Sarajevo and in the neighbouring city of East Sarajevo. The full article can be found here.

The Appeals Chamber of the Bosnian State Court convicted three members of the Serb nationalist Ravna Gora Movement of inciting ethnic, racial and religious hatred, discord and intolerance in the Visegrad area in March 2019. The full article can be found here.

Serbian Defence Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic denied having committed “any criminal act and especially I am not someone who is a conspirator against President [Aleksandar] Vucic” after a former colleague accused him of gaining access to transcripts of covertly recorded phone calls involving Vucic.
