Bosnia and Herzegovina – 1 April 2025

The Moldovan authorities have pledged to overhaul the country’s care system for people with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities, launching what they termed “deep” inquiries into abuse cases that were exposed by a BIRN investigation into the country’s five residential institutions. Bosnia and Herzegovina – 27 March 2025
The Bosnian state court sentenced Zdravko Cvoric to seven years in prison for raping a Bosniak woman prisoner in the settlement of Divic near Zvornik in 1992. The full article can be found here.
Kosovo – 27 March 2025
Pristina Basic Court sentenced a defendant identified only as F.P., the administrator of a group on messaging app Telegram called Albkings – which distributed intimate images and the personal information of women and girls – to one year and nine months in prison and imposed a 5,000-euro fine. Bosnia and Herzegovina – 27 March 2025
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina said it was seeking an international arrest warrant for Bosnian Serb President Milorad Dodik, who is facing legal action for his separatist policies. The full article can be found here.
