Croatia - 17 June 2025

The Belgrade Higher Court has ordered up to 30 days of custody for Krunoslav Fehir, who it said is suspected of taking part in wartime crimes. Fehir is a key witness in a war crimes case in Croatia against the Croatian wartime general Branimir Glavas. The Serbian court did not give details of the allegations against Fehir. Kosovo - 16 June 2025

Prishtinë Basic Court acquitted former prison officer Gavrilo Milosavljevic of committing war crimes against civilians at Dubrava Prison, where a massacre left over 100 inmates dead in 1999. The full article can be found here.

Three people convicted of attacking protesting students last November, including a former member of the Council of the City Municipality of New Belgrade, have received suspended jail sentences over an incident that triggered occupations of university faculties. Croatia - 16 June 2025

The Council of Europe’s anti-racism commission welcomed positive progress but warned that significant challenges to inclusion in Croatia remain. The full article can be found here.

 

Montenegro - 12 June 2025
